“K” Line concludes iron ore deal with Anshan Iron Steel

Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha, Ltd. (“K” Line) recently concluded a
long-term iron ore transport agreement with the Anshan Iron
and Steel Group, China, to transport Australian iron ore using
Capesize bulk carriers. The agreement, to last approximately
ten years, will start this month and covers the transport of
iron ore from Australia to China using 170,000dwt bulkers.
The annual transport volume is to be approximately 1.5
million tonnes. Under this agreement, “K” Line will play a role
in providing stable long-term transport services for Anshan
Iron and Steel Group.
