OSLO-listed shipowner Wilson has sold the Wilson Mobulk bulk carrier to an unnamed company.
The 1975-built, 5,800dwt ship has laid up in Gdynia, Poland, and will need investment to get back into service.
Wilson said the cash it received from the sale was NKr2.6m ($460,000), which was NKr1.9m less than Wilson Mobulk's booked value at the end of September this year.
"The ship would require comprehensive docking outlay in order to be operated in the company's sailing schedules.
In today's market we have not found it economically feasible to take the vessel through such docking," Wilson said.
After this transaction is completed Wilson will operate a fleet of 107 ships, including 75 that it owns.
