05 October 2015 Dry Bulk | Ports & Terminals Visakhapatnam Port in India has played host to its largest ever bulk carrier, which brought in a consignment of coal from Richards Bay in South Africa. On board was steam coal bound for Jindal Steel and Power Ltd. The 291-metre long Capesize vessel tied up at the Vedanta berth. Fully laden Capesize vessels began using the facility as of 9 March 2014. Previously, fully laden bulk carriers of this size had to be lightened. BC
