The Russian Baltic Port of Ust-Luga boosted throughput last year by more than 50%, equivalent to 10.3 million additional tonnes.
Coal exports grew by 19% to 7mt (million tonnes). The port provides ideal access for large bulk vessels, since it offers a draught of 16 metres and an approach channel of just 3.7 kilometres. It can accept ships of up to 75,000dwt. Barry Cross
