
One of the international recycling industry’s favourite machines has just passed a remarkable milestone. At a special celebratory event, the 2,000th MHL340 mobile material handler to be built by world-leading loader specialists Terex® Fuchs was handed over to the customer by Ron de Vries, general manager. The machine will be set to work by Stark GmbH, a medium-sized family business.
For more than 50 years, Stark has stood for a wide variety of recycling services in the Lake Constance region. Within that area the company, whose staff of 150 is now managed by the third generation of the family, is numbered among the leading specialist businesses in its sector. Its wide-ranging services include the recycling of paper, plastics and scrap timber, as well as container management, vehicle recycling and scrap metal handling.
For a number of years now, Stark GmbH has relied on robust, highly efficient mobile loaders from Terex® Fuchs. Stark places particular value on the high capacity which these machines provide, and on their exceptionally solid construction.With operating weights ranging from 27.5 to 31.2 tonnes and a maximum reach of 13.7 metres, the MHL340 is seen as a classic amongst mobile material handlers. It is now a firm favourite throughout the recycling and scrap handling industry, where it has been at work for 17 years.

Following the handover celebrations, guests undertook a factory tour to learn more about the manufacturer’s long history, extensive capabilities and flexible facilities.
