Temcor to build bulk storage dome in the Ukraine

CRH Group has contracted with Temcor (now part of CST
Industries) to build a limestone storage dome at another of
their facilities, the Podilsky Cement plant in Kamyanets-
Podilsky, Ukraine. This followed the successful installation
Irish Cement. Repeat business with satisfied customers has
contributed to Temcor’s stature in the industry.
In 2007, Temcor built a 105m-diameter Temcor
aluminium dome at the Platin Works cement plant in
Drogheda, Ireland near Dublin. The Platin Works plant and
Podilsky are part of CRH Group.
The dome at Podilsky, like the one in Ireland, will be a
105m-diameter Temcor aluminium dome for limestone
storage. Custom features will include a conveyor opening,
truck access and man doors with dormers, and a gravity vent
at the top of the dome. The dome was engineered for its
location – designed to withstand heavy snow loads. All aluminium
construction will keep the dome maintenance- and
corrosion-free for years to come.
