At the end of March, it was reported that a total of 34 vessels were awaiting at anchor prior to berthing to take on consignments of export sugar from Brazilian ports.These were due to carry 1.1 million tonnes. Of this, 73% would be generated by the port of Santos, 19% by Maceio´, 6% by Paranagua´ and 1% each by Recife and Suape.
