Leading maritime service network Wilhelmsen Ships Service has been chosen by Sea-Consortium, part of the worldwide X-press Feeders Group, to handle all its traffic in Taiwan, with immediate effect.
An agreement was reached in July, headed by Peter Sak, general manager of Wilhelmsen Ships Service Liner & Logistics in
Singapore, in collaboration with Sea-Consortium’s Taiwan office. The new contract responds to Sea-Consortium’s requirement for new full agency representation in Taiwan.
Sea-Consortium is very satisfied with Wilhelmsen Ships Service performance. “We are impressed with their performance so far,” said Francis Goh, general manager of Sea Consortium’s East Asia Hub. “If this high level of activity continues we expect to expand our cooperation with them in 2010.”
Wilhelmsen Ships Service will assist in developing new markets for Sea-Consortium in coming years. The company also has a wide range of other products and services that it expects to be able to offer the X-Press group once it has proven its capability in the agency and logistics operations.
