According to the information of the operations control centre, the state stevedoring company handled 1 m and 320 thous. tonnes of cargo in November. It is 32% more than planned (+ 320 thous. tonnes) and 12% more than last year. Main cargoes are iron ore, import coke coal and thermal coal, grain cargo processing products.
 
Having achieved year’s target in October, the staff of SE STP “Yuzhny” keeps the cargo turnover increasing. In November, 808 thous. tonnes of export cargo were handled, import cargo made up 301 thous. tonnes, transit made up 211 thous. tonnes. 238 rail cars, 18 vessels (including 11 Capesize vessels) were handled within a month.
 
Iron ore made up the greatest amount of cargo – 776 thous. tonnes. Apart from this, 153 thous. tonnes of import coke coal and 142 thous. tonnes of thermal coal were handled for PJSC Centrenergo and plus 32 thous. tonnes of grain cargo processing products.
 
It will be recalled, that on 15 October, 100% of plan was achieved, 1 m and 343 thous. tonnes of cargo were handled within a month.
 
A year-to-date total of 13,7 mt of cargo has passed through the state stevedoring company, including 8,7 mt – 64,1% – export cargo (iron ore, pig iron, grain cargo processing products). Import coke coal makes up 1m and 472 thous. tonnes or 65,9% of the total import cargo.
 
“Sea Trade Port “Yuzhny” is located on the north-west coast of the Black Sea in the nonfreezing Adzhalyksky estuary and it is the deepest port in Ukraine. The company provides a wide range of loading & discharging services, storage and related works; it handles bulk, general and break-bulk cargoes. Scheduled cargo delivery and cargo handling are effectively performed due to the convenient location of the railroad station “Beregova”, developed infrastructure of the road and rail ways. The company operates five deep-water berths, two of which are dedicated to handling of Capesize vessel up to permissible DWT. Annual cargo turnover of the company is 15,07 mt.
