A SAMSON Eco Hopper type EH60 was put into operation after a successful test. Thanks to its environmentally friendly design and the installed filter systems, it makes an important contribution to reducing dust emissions during the loading and unloading process of the ships.

The hopper's internal shielding is designed to isolate the dust filter elements from the main material stream, optimizing filter operation. The design follows the principle of sustainability: it reduces the air flow to a minimum, so that the filter area and power consumption can be reduced. A system near the cover reduces the wind turbulence often caused by cross winds. The bunker has reinforcements that also give the unit optimal strength.

Eco hoppers from SAMSON Materials Handling are suitable for almost all material and flow properties of bulk goods in ports and terminals. "The customer", says Mr. Gang Gong, Managing Director of AUMUND China, "is very satisfied with the Eco Hopper system and is interested in closer cooperation."

Around 13 million tons of goods are handled in the inland port every year. In Zhenjiang, the Jiangtse and the Great Canal meet, making it an important shipping center on China's north-south route.
