For the first six months of this year, coal exports of the Russian port of Vysotsk amounted to 1.6mt (million tonnes), equivalent to grow to 50%. In June alone, the terminal handled 266,862 tonnes of export coal, which went to western Europe. In 2010, throughput amounted to 2.3mt. The port has a draught of 11.9m and can accommodate two 45,000dwt vessels simultaneously.
