The Russian stevedoring company RosTerminalUgol has announced that it had handled 2mt (million tonnes) of coal exports before the end of April. The company, which operates at the port of Ust-Luga, first began coal handling activities in 1996.
Eventually, it hopes to generate coal traffic of up to 8mt annually. Its terminal has two 540-metre-long berths with alongside draught of 14 metres. Last year, total traffic amounted to just over 7mt of export coal.
