The planned new port of Yaurimaguas in the Loreto region of Peru will cost an estimated $56 million to build. It will be located in the Nueva Reforma area on the left bank of the Huallaga River, some 20 kilometres down river from the existing port. The concession will also require instruction of a 9.4 kilometre road linking the port with the main highway and also a river crossing.
The project will be co-financed by the state. The concession will last for 30 years.
