In the first quarter of 2021, National Transport Company JSC (NTK) transported 23 million tons of various cargoes. The operator increased the volume of traffic by 7.5% over the same period in 2020. From January to March, 640 heavy trains were formed in the direction of the ports of Vanino (Khabarovsk Territory), Nakhodka (Primorsky Territory), Murmansk and Taman.

Transshipment of goods in the own ports of NTK for the first quarter of this year amounted to 13.6 million tons, among the main cargo - ore, fertilizers, apatite concentrate. The total transshipment exceeded the same indicator of the last year by 8.37%. The growth was facilitated by the attraction of an additional cargo base and improved interaction with Russian Railways.

“This year, the main direction of NTK's development will be to further expand the client base and improve the efficiency of operations,” commented Denis Ilatovsky, Director General of NTK JSC.

At the moment, NTK manages more than 55 thousand cars. The company is the largest in the Russian Railways network in terms of cargo base (115 million tons per year), and one of the leading railway operators.
