Novotrans and Bedeschi signed an agreement on the supply of equipment for the LUGAPORT terminal.
 
The Italian company Bedeschi will supply modern transshipment equipment to equip the bulk cargo transshipment complex of the LUGAPORT universal terminal. The corresponding agreement of intent during the exhibition "Transport of Russia - 2021" was signed by the President of the Novotrans Group of Companies Konstantin Goncharov and the CEO of Bedeschi SPA Rino Bedeschi.
 
According to the document, within the framework of the construction of the universal trading terminal LUGAPORT, the Novotrans holding will purchase from Italian partners specialized systems for transshipment of bulk cargo, including coal, iron ore and other products. High-tech equipment of the latest generation will ensure high-quality and fast transshipment in the modes wagon-ship, wagon-warehouse, warehouse-ship in compliance with all environmental standards.
 
“We have agreed with our Italian partners that the advanced equipment with the best characteristics will be installed at the LUGAPORT terminal. We hope that the integrated solutions of the Bedeschi company, which has been on the market for over 100 years, will allow us to obtain unique equipment of a new generation, designed according to an individual order, taking into account all the features of the LUGAPORT complex, primarily its versatility. I am confident that Bedeschi technologies will provide the terminal with maximum efficiency and the highest level of environmental safety, ”said Konstantin Goncharov, President of the Novotrans Group of Companies.
 
 
As a reminder, the LUGAPORT universal trading terminal is being built by the Novotrans holding in the seaport of Ust-Luga, Leningrad Region. It will be designed for transshipment of bulk, general, grain and food cargo with a total volume of 24.3 million tons per year.
 
The multi-profile terminal will be able to receive up to 1,100 wagons per day from the Luzhskaya General junction station. Five berths will handle vessels of the Panamax, New-Panamax, Baby-Capesize class. LUGAPORT design documentation has successfully passed the state environmental expertise. The terminal will be equipped with closed-type conveyor and reloading equipment, which excludes dust removal into the external environment, modern dust suppression and aspiration systems.
 
Currently, the terminal is working on the construction of berths, office buildings, planning of the territory for the creation of transshipment complexes, equipment is being purchased, measures are being taken to provide the terminal with related infrastructure - automobile entrances with an overpass over non-public railway tracks, engineering protection systems against flooding. Dredging works are underway in the terminal water area.
