On July 1, the Russian port of Novorossiysk cut its grain handling tariff by 5%, equivalent to $.91 per tonne as a means of boosting grain exports.The cut has been justified following the ports optimization of production processes. According to its director- general, Rado Antolovich, “We hope that this measure will increase the competitiveness of Russian grain and strengthen its position on foreign markets.”
