Euroports Group and the Port of Port-La Nouvelle (French Med) are leading the way in the Energy Transition.
Port-La Nouvelle, is developing a new deep-sea infrastructure, currently under construction.
The port expansion will strengthen the port activities (liquid, project cargo, breakbulk and dry bulk) while investing in projects related to the energy transition.
The first part of the new Marine Renewable Energy terminal has been completed already and will be operated by Euroports CLTM. Dedicated to the emerging floating windmill industry, with 250 m of quay, 11 m water depth and 7 hectares of technical area, the site has been specially designed for the construction of floats and the assembly of floating turbines.
Through this concession, Euroports will reinforce its port logistic support of wind mills industry and diversify its activities in France.
Operations will start this year with 6 pilot machines of 10 MW each.
The next step for the Euroports Group and Port-La Nouvelle will be to position themselves in the future French tenders (2022) for 2 offshore farms of 250 MW each.
