Heidelberg Klaipeda is to invest $3.67 million in developing a logistics terminal at the Lithuanian port of Klaipeda. This will import high-quality cement, with quantities of between 50,000 tonnes and 70,000 tonnes per annum. It will feature automated bagging equipment, which should bring down the cost of imported cement. The company will wholly finance the project from its own resources.
