The Mexican company Cortez Transfert has confirmed plans to build a new minerals terminal at the port of Guaymas.  This will require investment of $3.8 million.  The terminal will cover an area of 10,000 square metres and handle around 300,000 tonnes of minerals each year.  There will be covered storage for 30,000 tonnes and other open stockpile areas.  Vessels of between 10,000dwt and 20,000dwt are expected to use the new facility moving between locations in North America and other ports in Mexico.
