Haver & Boecker’s ADAMS® 2000 was introduced to the public for the first time at the recent INTERPACK fair in Du¨sseldorf. This year this new form-fill-seal (FFS) high-speed system for filling powder-type products into watertight PE bags will go into action for the first time.
Lafarge Cement UK is going all out to make its plants and products as environmentally friendly as possible. With this always in mind, back in 2005 the renowned manufacturer of building materials and cement bought machines with the newly developed HAVER FFS technology, which work according to the HAVER ADAMS PROCESS® (HAP) principle. This purchase provided optimum product protection,
extended storage times and led to less dust along the entire logistical supply chain. Convinced by the advantages, over the years Lafarge then put additional machines into operation for filling mortar products and special cements in various plants throughout England.
Using the ADAMS® 2000 the company can now profit from the continuous development of this environmentally gentle packing system. One outstanding advantage is the considerable speed increase from 1,200 bags to over 2,000 bags per hour. Moreover, limited free-flowing products can also be filled. In addition, technical innovations allow greater flexibility in planning and when replacing existing systems.
