A new grain terminal is to be built at the Russian port of Baltysk by a joint-venture consisting of the British
company Baltic Oil Terminals, Sweden’s Alpcot Agro and its investment adviser Alpcot Capital. The terminal,
which is in the Kaliningrad enclave, will be built next to Baltysk’s existing RosBunker terminal.
The decision to make the investment was prompted by a recent acquisition by Alpcot Agro of another Swedish company with substantial agricultural interests in the region.
