Case Construction Equipment has introduced High Travel Speed
(HTS) versions of three of its popular Series 3 compact
monoboom wheeled loaders. While the four standard machines
in the series have a two-speed hydrostatic transmission offering
0–20km/h, the 121E HTS and the two larger HTS models, use a
two-speed hydrostatic unit in combination with a mechanical
high speed gear, providing a maximum travel speed of 35km/h.
This high travel speed is particularly useful for customers
operating the machine in high capacity stocking operations, in
load and carry duties and for occasional travel on the highways.
The high speed capability reduces travel time, cuts overall fuel
use and increases productivity for the customer.
Despite this higher performance, the 121E HTS retains the
inching pedal of the standard loader, providing precision low
speed movement for positioning of pallet forks and other
attachments.
The front axle on the 121E has a limited slip differential as
standard on all Series 3 models, while a limited slip differential in
the oscillating rear axle, optional on the standard machine, is also
part of the HTS specification. This combination ensures that
maximum tractive effort is achieved in all ground conditions and
at all speeds in complete stability.

POWER TO PERFORM
The compact 121E HTS is powered by a Fiat Powertrain
Technologies Tier 3 compliant diesel engine. This water-cooled
four cylinder motor provides a powerful net 45kW (60hp), more
than enough to work efficiently in a wide variety of industry
applications.
The turbocharged engine emits sound levels of just 98dB(A)
externally, with an in-cab noise level of just 75dB(A), providing
customers with a quiet machine that can be used on urban job
High speed Case 121E HTS loaders boost travel performance
sites and in builders merchants’ yards.
Case compact loaders use a monoboom loader arm that
offers superb visibility to the front of the machine. Powerful
breakout forces at the bucket and the boom ensure a full load
every time, in the toughest materials, while automatic selflevelling
and optional ride control maintain maximum load
retention, even during load and carry operations. A return to dig
function is available as an option.

VERSATILITY BUILT IN
All Case compact wheeled loaders come with a standard
auxiliary hydraulic function, allowing the operation of a wide
range of buckets and powered attachments. The hydraulic lines
have leak-free quick connect couplings for rapid tool changes
and minimum downtime for the customer.
A standard hydraulic quick coupler, with skid steer loader
compatibility, allows customers to operate a wide variety of
attachments without further investment for the customer. This
allows rapid integration of the Case 121E HTS into rental and
contractor fleets.
The quick coupler also allows the operator to fully reverse
the bucket, making it easier to access hydraulic lines and
providing greater functionality for some attachments.

BIG MACHINE COMFORT
The Series 3 machines have a spacious operator’s cab that offers
360° visibility. Curved front and rear windshields and deep
windows on both sides allow the operator to place the machine
easily in confined operating conditions and provide excellent
levels of visibility to the working tool.
The instrument panel is mounted low to further contribute
to the feeling of space in the cab, without impacting the forward
visibility. The operator is well cared for with single lever joystick
control of the lift arm, quick coupler and instant transmission
direction changes. Supportive seating and an adjustable steering
wheel provide a comfortable position for operators of all sizes,
reducing fatigue and allowing maximum productivity throughout
the working day.

EASE OF MAINTENANCE
The contoured rear hood can be lifted up to provide excellent
access to the engine and cooling pack. All filters and fill points
can be reached from ground level, improving safety for the
service technician and reducing regular maintenance times.
The highly efficient hydrostatic transmission requires virtually
no regular maintenance, further cutting service times and
ensuring that a Case compact loader keeps working longer.
Hydrostatic drive also reduces the need to use the service
brakes, further reducing service costs.
