Euroports inaugurates new Liebherr crane for Porto Maghera

Euroports has just inaugurated a new Liebherr 550 crane in the Porto Maghera area near Venice.

 

“We see a great opportunity for the port to become the most important hub on the Adriatic Sea for freight traffic in the agri-food and steel sector,” according to Pablo Garcia, CEO of Euroports MED.

 

Mr. Garcia welcomed a large group of port operators, customers, and business partners at the inauguration. The new low-emission crane has a total capacity of 144 tons and is equipped with a maximum outreach of up to 54 meters. It can unload up to 1000 tons of bulk per hour and supports Euroports’ drive for greater sustainability in its operations.
