Dunkirk terminal operator acquires new Liebherr crane

Multipurpose terminal operator BARRA SNM will use the new crane for breakbulk, heavy loads, agribulks and mineral bulks at its terminal in Dock Basin 6 in Dunkirk

 

Maximum load under hook is 125 tonnes. As well as catering for existing business, the crane will enable BARRA SNM to go after new business.

 

Equipped with Liebherr’s Stage V diesel engine and latest hybrid drive, the crane is very economical in terms of fuel consumption and emissions and can run on biofuels such as HVO.

 

It is also equipped with all necessary connections to be fitted with a cable reel and run off the port’s grid at a future date, should BARRA SNM opt to take that step.
