One year on since the opening of the Port of Dover's new dedicated cargo terminal and the popularity of Dover for handling more and more products is something to celebrate.

Already known for its handling of fresh produce, Dover has rapidly grown its portfolio of goods handled, including grain and agricultural products, steel, timber, construction materials, breakbulk and project cargoes.

Nik Scott-Gray, General Manager, Port of Dover Cargo Ltd said: “Port of Dover Cargo Ltd is delivering the goods from local through to global markets. The speed with which word has spread about our state of the art facility and the benefits of its strategic location next to the busiest shipping lane and with swift and direct access into Europe has been tremendous. I would also like to thank the team at Dover for their hard work in ensuring our first year in our new home has been a great success.”

Barbara Buczek, Chief Commercial Officer, Port of Dover, said: “This anniversary is the culmination of many years of planning and construction work as part of our Dover Western Docks Revival project, our single biggest ever investment in the Port. It is set to deliver even more opportunities for our various businesses and I look forward to marking more anniversaries in the years ahead as we continue to evolve and create the conditions for future success.
