The government of Venezuela has secured $600 million of funding from China to refurbish its main port of Cabello.
Work will be undertaken by China Harbour Engineering Company. The port, which was nationalized last year, last saw
major investment in 1970. Once completed, the port will be able to double its existing capacity.
