CVRD has begun exporting coal from its terminal in the port of Beira, Mozambique.This comes from mines the company has in the country’s Tete province, close to the border with both Malawi and Zambia, and is transported by rail to the port. Mozambique is expected to become a leading exporter of pet coke for use in the iron and steel industry over the coming years.
