Spanish company AUSA’s rail dolly equipped vehicles are used to
carry out maintenance and repair jobs on railway lines. The self-propelled
concrete mixers prove very useful, given that this
work is performed at night, when the concrete plants have
already closed.
Normally, when working during the day it is the dumpers that
bring cement to the work site. The dumpers are responsible for
transporting all manner of materials needed for these repair
jobs. Likewise, AUSA’s TASK M50 vehicles are also used for
several different jobs. The most original of these is its use as an
ambulance in construction works in tunnels, as required by law.
This new maintenance and repair role for the TASK M50 was
the brainchild of Vallina Alquiler De Maquinaria. The key factors
in the decision to use AUSA’s vehicles were their performance
and price, which is much lower than that of any comparable
vehicle used for this purpose.
Vallina Alquiler De Maquinaria (machine rental) specializes in
renting machinery for construction, civil works, public works and
minor renovation jobs. It also rents machinery to carry out
maintenance and repair jobs on railway lines. To perform this
task it uses vehicles equipped with rail dollies (iron wheels that
allow them to move on rail tracks). It chose the AUSA brand
because it offers a wide range of models that adapt to its needs
and those of its clients.
Through Maprinsa, AUSA’s distributor in Asturias, Vallina Alquiler
De Maquinaria acquired 25 selfpropelled concrete mixers, 30
dumpers and 2 TASK M50 vehicles.
The ample range of products and services offered by AUSA was a
defining factor in the decision to add different AUSA models to its fleet of
vehicles.
AUSA’s self-propelled concrete AUSA vehicles used in the maintenance and
repair of railway lines mixers offer stability on any surface and excellent
manoeuvrability in confined spaces.
Vallina Alquiler De Maquinaria has vehicles with capacities
ranging from 500 to 1,100 L. Maprinsa’s advisory role was an
essential factor in the company’s acquiring the most suitable
machinery.
As for the dumpers acquired by the rental company, these are
different models, with load capacities ranging from 1,500 to
4,000kg. Those with capacities of between 1,500 and 1,750kg
have rigid chassis and are remarkable for their toughness and
their ability to work on different services, in both two-wheel and
four-wheel drive versions. Meanwhile, vehicles with load
capacities of between 2,000 and 3,000 kg all have continuous
four-wheel drive and can be purchased with two types of
transmission: mechanical or hydrostatic. Unloading can be either
frontal or on a gyrating 180° basis. Finally, the 3,000 to 4,000kg
AUSA dumpers are compact vehicles that allow for the
movement of goods in confined spaces and on irregular surfaces,
thanks to their four-wheel drive and articulated chassis, a feature
that provides great manoeuvrability.
The TASK M50 is also a UTV (Utility Terrain Vehicle), with a
load capacity of 500kg, making it the vehicle with the highest
capacity in its class. It guarantees maximum reliability and
durability. One of its main advantages is the fact that it can access
complicated areas in the most extreme conditions, and another is its
multi-service nature, which allows it to be used for all manner of tasks.
Also, several different types of accessories can be used with the
vehicle, allowing the user to personalize it according to the job at
hand. Last, but not least, it has very simple maintenance.
