The King of Jordan has officially inaugurated the new phosphate terminal at the port of Aqaba, which is owned by the Aqaba Development Corporation (ADC). The terminal cost $240 million and has a storage capacity of 240,000 tonnes. Eventually, the facility will handle around 6 million tonnes annually. It is accessed via a 200-metre-long berth and can accommodate vessels up 100,000dwt.
